Now with Statsignal you have more control about how to receive the monitor alerts. Allowing you to send alerts via email, SMS, Phone Call, Slack or a specific webhook.

Additionally, you can save multiple alert recipient configurations based on your monitoring requirements.

Enhanced monitoring algorithm

At Statsignal, we want to be transparent about how our system works. Therefore, we will keep you informed about improvements and changes in our system, so let us tell you about our enhanced monitoring algorithm.

In order to improve reliability and prevent false negatives, a redesigned monitoring algorithm has been developed and deployed by Statsignal. Basically, with this algorithm, a monitor will continuously try three times before reporting as down as soon as it receives a down signal.

Additionally, our workers also run a health check every three seconds against multiple trust servers with a two-second timeout. Therefore, if worker connectivity breaks, this immediately is deactivated, preventing false negatives.

New features are coming

Statsignal is constantly evolving, so new features are always being developed. Among the upcoming features are:

  • Allow specifying HTTP method and headers in HTTP monitors. Currently, HTTP monitors check the target website using the HEAD method, or GET if HEAD is not available. This enhanced feature will let you specify any other HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, HEAD, DELETE, PATCH). In addition, you will be able to send custom headers in HTTP requests.

  • Check a specific response from HTTP monitors. This feature enables checking the body or head of HTTP monitor responses.

  • An enhanced detailed report about the reason for disruptions, degradations, or outages of the monitors.

We believe these will greatly enhance your experience with our product, and we can't wait for you to try it out.
